muscles.
 

At the out set Dr. B.N Pani, the resource person who is a physiotherapist by himself defined muscle, types and its structure. He also discussed with the functions of skeletal muscles in general as contractile unit in breathing, movement, balance, and activities of daily living. Finally he highlighted some metabolic functions of muscles in support of activity and glucose clearance.

08.02.08 Swami Sadananda Saraswati Life Management: Emotional Health and its Management. In continuation of his lecture series, Swamiji pinpointed several ways and means to control emotions. And also elaborated the negative & positive emotions and their effects on health.
22.02.08 Swami Sadananda Saraswati Life Management: Mental Health and its Management. This lecture by Swamiji was the third in the series, where he discussed in detail about the relationship subsisting between mental condition and physical health. He suggested that stress and strain could well be managed through Meditation and Yoga.
  Dr. Prabhu Dash, BAMS Naturopathy The resource person elaborated about the natural treatment for different diseases. He explained the benefits of the magnetic therapy, hydrotherapy; treatment and control of diseases through diet management.

Dr. Dash tried to explain students about the structural and functional pattern of primary health center and sub-center of Orissa. He also talked about objectives of National Rural Health Mission and the activities conducted by the mission.
