UNIVERSITY EXAMINATION
The University shall conduct examination in theory at the end of each semester. The duration of examination in each theory paper shall be of 3 hours. Internal assessment shall be based on continuous evaluation of the candidates through internal tests, project works, practical and other assignments given by the Department. Two examiners – one internal and other external, shall evaluate the Final Project Reports. The average of the two marks shall be the marks secured by the candidate in Project Report. The Viva – Voce shall be conducted by a group of examiners, to be appointed by the University. The group of examiners shall include the internal supervisor for the project report and an external expert. The aggregate marks awarded by the group shall be the marks scored in Viva Voce. The Head of the Department shall forward the marks secured by each candidate in internal assessment to the University after the completion of each semester examination. Utkal University, as per the rules and regulations, shall publish the result and award the degree.
UNIFORM
The Institute prescribes a common uniform for all, the student as well as the staff. The basic objective behind introducing a common prescribed uniform is to ensure unity, obedience, discipline and order among the students. All students are requested to prepare at least two sets of uniform at their own cost. It is mandatory on the part of the students to be in uniform in all programs of the institute including classroom teaching and field visits. Students, without prescribed uniform will not be permitted to attend any activities in the campus as it violates the institute's discipline.
RULES AND REGULATIONS

Students shall regularly attend all the theoretical classes and maintain punctuality in fieldwork, seminar, workshop, extra mural lectures and all other educational and extracurricular activities. Students will have to conform to and comply with the instructions given by the authorities from time to time. Parents will be informed about irregular attendance or any kind of misconduct on the part of their wards and disciplinary actions as deemed fit will be taken by the authority.

Leave of absence from classes cannot be considered as a matter of right. Students have to take prior permission by submitting leave application to the concerned authorities.

Students should take utmost care to maintain cleanliness of the campus and see that no property of the institute is defaced or damaged by their action. Any student found to be indulging in such activities shall be severely penalized even to the extent of temporary expulsion from the campus.

Student should inculcate a sense of brotherhood and belongingness to create a family like atmosphere inside and outside the campus. He/She should try on their part to adhere to the mission objective and goals of the institute.
