P.R. Gharai, Secretary, VISWASS in a nut -shell talked on the on the aspect of the importance of the Institute in relation to the delivery of teaching and running professional courses.
Smt. Annapurna Moharana told the importance of the institute in building the 'self' of the students She also gave emphasis on the three major components that is essential to become a professional social worker like Productive Work, Service and Self- Study. Swami Bairgyanandaji in his deliberation projected VISWASS as social work institute that integrates scientific and spiritual approach towards providing education and training to the students of various disciplines .
"Vivekananda who was the epitome of service and youth power once pronounced that the way to salvation is not just through worshipping but also more through dedicated service to the half starved and helpless millions who languish in poverty and deprivation. Service is the only way to salvation," remarks
Swamiji. Swamiji and Mrs. Rao was felicitated on the occasion by Annapurna Moharana for their life time contribution for the service of the humanity. Mr. R. N. Senapati Principal Secretary, Dept. of Finance, talked about his long association with the institute. He expressed his satisfaction and as the institute as the Institute is progressing and flourishing in the field of professional education in

OUAT, addressed the gathering by making emphasis on the supplementary role that agriculture and rural development play in enriching the profession of social work.
Hon. Finance Minister of the State expressed his satisfaction on the growth of the institute as a 'non-commercial institute' producing ideal professionals. He said that as" a Minister of Finance I believe on the quality outcome of the work not on the outlet which VISWASS is doing". He also officially inaugurated the Annual Report, 2007 of VISWASS. Finance read out their respective departments academic activities activities and performance. The programme was followed by a prize giving ceremony to the students who are adjudged as the best in the field of academic, co-curricular activities and the cultural events like dance, solo song etc. the prizes
were distributed to the winners by the Chairperson, Mrs. Pratima Ghrai of SHOUM FOUNDATION. The programme ended with sumptuous dinner.
